Conservation specification

Carrig pride ourselves on our technical knowledge and understanding of weathering and decay of all porous building materials.

WHY DO YOU NEED A CONSERVATION REPORT?

When considering a specification for all conservation interventions it is most important to understand the building, the materials, the construction method used, the inter-reaction between different materials, the effects of weathering on the fabric and to identify the pollutants contributing to the decay of a building fabric. This linked to the knowledge of the history of a building, a detailed condition report and a detailed material analysis of the fabric will lead to a first-class specification for all necessary works to a historic building.
If you would like more information, or would like to discuss a project, please contact the office to speak to one of our conservation consultants.
